Windows Media Center doesn't support MPEG4 / H.264 channels!!!

Im sure the warning message can be remedied by installing codecs.

hmm is there a reason why you want this product in particular? Maybe one from Hauppauge instead?

While this on the topic of TV card, I was wondering if any of you noticed a difference in image quality with MCE under Vista and Win7?

Under XP, my two PVR 150 (with hardware mpeg) produced excellent video with both MCE and Mediaportal.

But since Vista and now also with Win7 MCE it is very blurry, sometimes skipping fast, sometimes out of sync for a few secs.

It think it's the MCE codec, because the encoding is done through hardware so that didn't change.

Anyone?

Hi

I got a FireDTV S2 for the same reason - CAM support for future use...

The FireDTV / Digital Everywhere website still has limited support and drivers...
I had to flash the card with an update so it would be properly recognised in Win7 RC1.

It worked fine :D - I dont have any S2 channels yet, but BBC HD give a great picture (with Nvidia card, not ATI). I used the regular Windows SD/HD codecs.

There is a registry hack you can do which allows MHEG datastreams and hidden channels to be listed in EPG.

I have just installed Win7 Professional. It sort-of works, but thinks the card is DVB-T. Any ideas appreciated....Digital Everywhere went bust last year :(

I have also got latest DVB Viewer installed, and proves the card can scan all the channels on Eurobird1/Astra2D with Win7 Pro. Just some MCE screw-up I guess....

I would also like to control my motorised dish which has a 12v motor...
