Firefox 3.5 Jumplist

i just discovered that you can make a link sticky by dragging
a bookmark onto the firefox task button.

i have no idea from where the Jumplist gets the recent files.

after starting a local .htm file there suddenly is a recent file.

but here is no way to rename sticky links. where is Jumplist info stored? my computer is busy right now, next time i will check with ProcessMonitor where info will be written.

here is a simple way to get links with clean title into the firefox jumplist:

make sure that there is some free space on your desktop.
now in firefox drag the symbol left of the address bar to the desktop.

you will get a shortcut.
rename it and drop it on the firefox taskbar icon.

Im doing something wrong. I dragged to desktop changed name and dropped it onto firefox and it showed the original name on the open tab and on the taskbar icon. I used the address of this page changed the shortcut name to changed and dragged it to taskbar. Taskbar show original name and so does tab. Any ideas?

I tried it agin to be sure. I took this page's icon dragged to desktop. A shortcut named 113884-firefox-3-5-jumplist was placed on desktop and renamed to firefox changed. That was dropped on the FF taskbar. When dropped on the task bar a jumplist item was created it was named 11884-firefox-3-5-jumplist. It should have been firefox changed right? check the pics. What am I issing?

Cool beans, now only if i could get the shortcuts to run in sandboxie without paying for the pro version.
Have to search reg. for there context menu and add run sandboxed.

i don't understand why this is noteworthy. it has nothing to do with firefox, it's just pinning a document to a taskbar button to create a special link that says 'open this document with this app when the user clicks here'. it's been around all along.

BTW so far a bunch of add ons dont work in 3.5
