any of you folks trying 4.0 had the browser/system freeze up when left on idle?... i left my Gmail on the browser while away from the PC and noticed the entire system froze.... initially thought it was the anti-virus playing up after updating..but I think its actually FF...
Just wanna find out if anyone else had a similar situ.
I haven't had any problems like that. I can keep Firefox running for days/weeks/months with like 15-20 tabs open with no problem, and the new beta hasn't changed that.
Currently using it. Everything from my FF3.6.6 was copied to FF4. I moved the tab bar to the bottom and showed the menus unwrapped. It works OK. The only thing is that my Personal toolbar isn't showing... maybe because of my add-ons that were also copied... hmm... Also, finally some Win7 integration!
EDIT
DUH. "Bookmark toolbar" wasn't checked...

Well, the UI isn't as bad as screenshots made it look. Not sure what they have done to the fonts.... the text looks different somehow, can't quite put my finger on it. and I have no idea whether hardware acceleration is working or not Im going to assume yes, because Fraps went nuts the moment it was engaged
EDIT: Hmm... Graphic driver crash.... Windows recovered itself though (clever Windows) Not sure if it's FF related... but FF was the only program open at the time.

FireFox Beta is good but sometimes it takes time to connect to the server while browsing, and sometimes it just opens fast, and by the way does anyone know the best settings for putting in: About:Config -> Network
Anyone else having this problem where the minimize, maximize, and close buttons are gone and there are white stripes like the ones that show up when you use aero peek?

EDIT: Never mind, I fixed. There was a problem coming back from fullscreen. I just had to press F11 again to go to windowed mode and then maximize it again.
EDIT 2: Ok, I found out the problem. I closed it while in fullscreen mode. Don't do that.

well i really love the new GUI for Firefox 4.
for some reason it seams that webpages are wider, but that just might be me?
also it only gets 97/100 on acid 3 with no java/flash addon.
