hi
they say that firefox is the fastest browser today, but i actually find the latest stable version of google chrome twice as fast in at least one area, and this is loading gmail, firefox is(I think)more user friendly, but i am starting to get an addiction of google chrome, and when you click on the logo in the process line it also reponds faster than firefox,it is simply a better browser.:)

That's good to hear!

Which browser is the fastest for any particular user depends of course on 1. what they do with it and 2. installed plugins and extensions, as well as settings and cache configuration.

Feel free to continue using whichever browser you like best - both are excellent. It's all about choice and that's a very good thing.

I started using Google Chrome when I made the mistake of upgrading FF from an old version -- and noticed immediately that the lag was so bad (when entering text into a window), that it was all but useless.

I've kept using Chrome, and to my delight, found plugins for it that were no longer available for FF (new versions) but were available for Chrome.

I've since upgraded to FF v8 -- but still find it to be slower (at times) than Chrome. However, I upgrade Chrome every time a new development version comes out, and find it convenient to keep FF around -- because I import the stuff from FF into each new Chrome install.

I guess its all down to what you want out of a browser. If you want speed then go for Chrome, if its extensions then go FF, if its robustness and security the go IE9. Its all down to individual personal preferences. For me its IE9 and Chrome depending what I am doing. :D
