firefox does not run

When Seven Starter in HP mini 110 get connected with WIFI in the shopping mall or university, Firefox does not run.
I have to log in on their page, but i do not see that.
This message showed up.
after I disabled security add ons except Avast Internet security,
same message showed up

FF was working weeks ago.
In contrast, another browser is working.

Do you know the fix?

Hi:

The shopping mall (probably an open, public wifi network) and the university (might be different networks - a public one and a private one) may be different issues, especially if you are on your university's private network (behind a firewall or proxy).

Also: While it's OK to TEMPORARILY disable one's security applications for troubleshooting purposes, it's very important to re-enable them as soon as possible, especially on a PUBLIC network.

It would help to know: what version of Firefox (current version is 47.0)?
