As title, my firefox is hijacked by some kind of adware, square ads are appearing at my bottom left corner

These ads come from different sites
-ad.yieldmanager
-ad.doubleclick
-ad.xtendedmedia

I tried clearing cookies and deleting cache > still persist
I tried to reset firefox > still persist
I scanned with malwarebyte > no infection found and problem still persist

Those are all ad managers that are basically on half the sites on the internet. Especially doubleclick. It's pretty much everywhere.
Do you have any plugins or addons installed to firefox?
Have you tried disabling them? Or changing their settings even, it almost sounds like ghostery or one of the 1000 other firefox plugins that monitors ad traffic.

Try AdwCleaner. It specializes in removing Adware, Toolbars, Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP), and browser Hijackers from your computer. Use the blue download link and not the green "download now" button.

AdwCleaner Download

This product is safe and recommended by one of our security experts.

At a minimum, I'd suggest making a system restore point (better yet, a system image) just in case. Yes, a restore point or image will also restore the "adware" but your ocmputer will be no worse than it is now.

Ty for the reply, but im afraid things have gotten even worse...

I tried running Adwcleaner, i pressed delete and it runs and restarts my computer, but the problem isnt solved, ads still appear in my firefox's bottom left corner and worst yet, Adwcleaner seems to have removed my administrator privilege? every single game and exe i press now ask for authorization and imo its bloody annoying and never happened before

I system restored to 2 days ago, now the ad ware is back and at least my computer seems normal other than that

Hi,

Please try the following:

Copy & paste the bold text exactly as shown into a new instance of Notepad, and then save this to your desktop as flush.bat

@Echo on
pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
attrib -h -s -r hosts
echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
attrib +r +h +s hosts
popd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset all
netsh int ip reset all
shutdown -r -t 1
del %0

Right-click on flush.bat and choose to run as Administrator. Once it runs, it will reboot your computer automatically.

Once rebooted, please immediately download, install, update and run the free version of Malwarebytes. Report the output please.

Regards,
Golden

I've had good luck using SAS (SuperAntiSpyware) for getting rid of tracking supercookies (cookies that get installed somewhere other than the cookies folder). I use the free version and it has found cookies that MBAM missed (and MBAM is good).

Does the problem persist in other browsers? I too think it sounds like a toolbar, do you have any "non-standard" ones installed? Are the ones you mentioned ALL that you see and are they "that kind" i.e. doubleclick etc. It does sound a lot like ghostery to me. If you have the ghostery plug in/extension installed then this is just the tracking cookies. If its too annoying to you then go into your f.f. and disable it.

In my view, the best way to remove any type of Adware is manually. When my PC was attacked with these kind of Adware i tried using tools. But it didn't removed them completely. So from then on, i am removing the add-ons which are adware manually by entering into browser settings.
