Follow this Tutorial and open the Firefox in Safe Mode and see whether it opens Safe Mode

Then it should be the add-ons that is causing the problem. Disable all the add-ons then opened Firefox and see whether it works. If it works then enable add-ons one by one and you'll find which one is causing it. Then you could uninstall that add-on.

If you use "Flashgot" - v.1.2.1.21 - addon, deactivate it. Reactivate other ones and let us know the results.

i don't actually use flashgot
I found out what add-on was causing the problem
It's the orbit downloader add-on which bugs me a lot 'coz now I can't use it and I really love that add-on

I disable the add-on that causing the problem
and when I wanted to check out the forum I can't access it on ff

Don't just disable it uninstall it !! What about all the add-ons ??

Hello !!

Lets try this : Download Revo Uninstaller Free version and it has a Hunter Mode use that and remove Mozilla Firefox completely and download a fresh copy and install it. Don't install any add-ons.

Now install your addons one at a time. Run for a while before you install the next one. Only install those that you actually use and need.
