Firefox slow to load some Web pages after version 52

Firefox dropped support of many plug-ins with version 52. Ever since I installed that version, I have had problems with slow performance and page loading (e.g Yahoo, wunderground.com and tvlistings.zap2it.com). I seems to affect pages with flash animations, ads, and a lot of graphic content. The blue circle in the upper left of the browser page just keeps spinning around. Google is one page not affected. Anyone know the reason or if there's an easy fix? I already cleared my cache and history without any perceptible effect. Attached is a screenshot of the former plug-ins and one of the plug-ins after installing Firefox 52.

What do you use to update flash? You're showing v19... when the latest is v25.0.0.127

And that OpenH264 Video Codec should be enabled, mine is, not sure why yours isn't.

That first plug-in screen shot is from a while ago (I just wanted to give an idea of what I has before Firefox version 52). If you look at the next screen shot it shows Shockwave Flash Version 25.

Okay, can you enable the 264 codex? It helps with streaming also, go into control panel\internet options\advanced tab and check the software / hardware box, if it's checked, uncheck it, your machine requires a restart to test.

Okay - found it. That box you highlighted IS unchecked.

If you've been updating Firefox every update and never clean installing it then it might be time to clean install it.

After the uninstall check for and delete
C:\Program files\Mozilla Firefox or, C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox and C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\updates and/or C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox (if found)

C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\profile folder and profiles.ini file

A reboot is needed before installing a fresh copy of Firefox. Then you'll need to re-add the FEBE extension and use it to restore your old profile.

debodun, You can try checking that box and testing if you haven't already tried it, if it makes no difference or makes things worse leave it unchecked.

My next move was going to be what Callender suggested a fresh install, its not hard and using FEBE saves a lot of work. Thanks Callender!
