I downloaded firefox after having just reset my computer to factory defaults to try to fix a few problems I was having and to keep from having them again, I was wondering your opinions on what add-on's I should download to keep my computer safe.

I have:
Ad-Block Plus
Adobe DLM
Better Privacy
Ghostery
Glasser
NoScript
WOT

I know how to use WOT, i think im understanding ghostery but idk what to do with adblock plus or noscript or better privacy. i was told to downlaod them by another user here

I use NoScript. Basically you allow sites to use JavaScript on a case by case basis, and it remembers them.

Also have a look at this program:
Sandboxie - Download Sandboxie

looked at the info on it and it sounded like a good idea for a background program so i downloaded it. and yes, i see the noscript no. just open up ogame.org and noscript becomes obvious.

If you have more than one PC one thing to save time in NoScript is you can export a "white list" of all the sites you've allowed. Then just import it in another Firefox. Saves training that browser all over again.

The nice thing about Sandboxie is you can apply it on a program by program basis. You don't have to run your entire system inside a sandbox as Returnil and other programs of that type do. Plus it's a much simpler approach than trying to filter all the http input for viruses. That approach, even if it "works" slows your browsing down to a crawl or runs up your CPU.

Very nice security list there  -- an alternative to WOT could be McAfee SiteAdvisor Software ? Website Safety Ratings and Secure Search

nah i been using WOT for the past 2 yearsish, and i know and like them so i think i will stick with them. and yesh i agree, i was on the phone with a service rep from netflix yesterday and it was funny she had me test something to see if it ran properly, and i said give me a second I have to allow it in 3 different spots then unblock it, and she said ok then when it didnt work i gave her the error code and said its probably still being blocked by my mega security, and she said thats exactly what it was, something on my end was blocking them
