After installing sp1 on windows 7 32 bit I found that after start up the local area connection said unidentified network if I disable it and then renable it then works.

I then turned off windows firewall and restarted and everything worked fine I turned firewall back on and the same thing happened again unidentified network so it seems that some thing in the firewall is making this happen. Can anyone offer a solution.

  1. goto control pannel
  2. click on windows firewall
  3. click on allow program through firewall(in the left pane)
  4. click on change setting in the new windows that appear and allow network discovery

hope it should work

there are still a lot of issues with sp1. users are not recommended to apply the new update.

Really? I'd like to know who said that users are not recommended to upgrade to SP1. Where'd you get that info? I'm running 5 computers at home all on SP1 with no problems.
