Firewall that blocks application connect to specific ip?

I have tried several personal firewalls and have yet to find one of the free ones that will allow you to set firewall rules that allow only a specific ip or ip's to connect to a specific application. Most only have a trusted ip list.

Online Armor has this functionality but not for the free version.

I dont recall whether comodo has this ability but I did not like that comodo would have several outbound connections even when I did not have anything that should be connected out to the internet (something to do with cloud?).

It seems that the Windows' built-in firewall might be able to do what you're after by creating a new custom rule.

With Windows 7 Firewall you may also be able to do as you require with Windows 7 Firewall Control Free gives you Bi functionality

Windows firewall will allow all outgoing connections by default. So try the following:

1) First, block the application you want.

2) Now, create a specific rule.

Click Start, type WF.msc, and press Enter.

Click Outbound Rules, then choose Action->new Rule.

Choose Custom.

Choose This Program path, and specify which program this rule applies to.

Click Next->Next.

Under Which remote IP addresses does this rule apply to, choose These IP addresses, and add IP addresses.

Choose Allow the connection.

Choose network profile which you want to apply this to.

Name the rule.

Very good advise guys! I will play with the windows 7 firewall..

My problem is that I need to run this on three separate pc's. Two of which are windows xp. The windows 7 pc sounds like it may be covered now.. Much appreciated.

How about the same for XP? I understand that this is :NOT: an xp forum.
