If I understand this right, once a printer updates the firmware to a new version, then it is stored within the printers memory and can not be rolled back to a previous version. How do I insure that my printer can not install software updates. If I do not see the brand name, such as Cannon, listed in the items allowed through my Windows firewall is that good enough? Or could an update sneak through a program like Bonjour?
Can I just remove Bonjour? I think that I do not use it for anything?
Please advise if I have this thread in the wrong sub-forum. Thanks.
