HI,I am about to do my first installation which will be WIN7 builder version 64x in a DELL E521 AND I HAVE been looking at some info. on what to do or not to do.
I have 2 HDD'S in this PC and from what i have found is that i should disconnect those drives so i do not
install the new OS system on a old drive.
This what i am working with a SEAGATE ST1000DX001,WIN7 64BIT builders edition.
The one thing i believe i need to do is go into BIOS and do the AHCI will there any surprises that i may not have come across just yet any input would be appreciated, thanks

Just to make sure we are clear, if you have two hard drives in your PC, you will disconnect one of them and leave the one that you are installing Win 7 connected. This way you will be sure to only get Win 7 files on one of the drives.

Sorry my bad, what i am working on is this.
There two HDD'S in this PC right now i am going to install the new SEAGATE SSDH to replace one of the two existing
HDD'S the SSDH will be the primary HDD and one of the other HDD'S will be retained and the HDD i am working with
right now i believe i can do a clone to the new SSDH so i will end up with just two HDD'S.
I looked at my first post and did not explain it right,i received my SSDH& WIN7 disk today, hope i explained it better this time, thank you
