I seem to have no search provider in my brand new IE9. So I consult the help page on how to get one, and it says that:
Unfortunately there is absolutely no Show Address bar Autocomplete button to be seen anywhere. So I am already stuck at the first step. Any ideas?Click the Show Address bar Autocomplete button, and then click Add in the lower right corner for the Address bar.
In the Add-ons Gallery, choose a search provider, and then click Add to Internet Explorer.
In the Add Search Provider dialog box, you can do one or more of the following .... etc.
