fix ip no connection

Hi,

I am using Win7 pro X64. When the machine's IP is get from DHCP, the connection is fine. But whenever I set a fix Ip the connection fail and it change to another IP that is not in our network.

Say I set the Ip to 192.168.1.32 and no connection , later it change automatically to 192.168.1.98. Even I change it with fix IP to 192.168.1.98 by myself no connection is found

Is there a reason why u need to set the IP address manually?

I want to shared some folders in the desktop to others so thnk a fix Ip is better
