there is a MS Fixit but it seems if you use it will disable some functions in ie
Microsoft is actually saying to use another browser till they issue a Windows update

So what's the best way to go for someone that doesn't have another browser to use?

Should a person create a Restore Point before applying the Fixit? , all this time that I've been using IE 9, I thought it was 64 bit until I checked Task Mgr. as suggested in one of those articles.

You cannot download Firefox?
There is a unfix next to the fxit that if you install it will remoce the fix

You can make a restore point; it can't hurt.
I do recommend having more than one browser installed at all times. Just in case a problem does arise with one browser you can use the other browser to get help on line.
