fixing icons on desktop

Greetings
For years I had no problems with arranging the icons on desktop (not sorted, not aligned, just the way I wanted them to be).
Now I replaced my monitor. My old 19" showed signs of dying (vertical lines).
Bought a new one, it was automatically identified by on board graphic card, but icons get mixed every restart.
Any solutions?

I have one monitor that does the same thing. To solve my problem all I have to do is make sure the monitor is on (showing the HDMI input badge) before I boot the computer. If I boot the computer before the monitor is recognized all my icon are scattered.

You're probably right since the "problem" was resolved after a second restart
