I have created a program (in Visual Basic) that uses flash. If I include flash10c.ocx in my install script (I'm using InstallAware), the program installs and runs fine on XP and Vista 32 bit systems. My problem is in Windows 7.

If I tell my installer that the flash10c.ocx file is not a self registering dll then my program will install without errors but I get a runtime error when the program tries to run a flash file. (I think the error was flash10c.ocx file not found or something similar.)

If I tell my installer that the flash10c.ocx file is a self registering dll then I get an error during the installation. ("The module flash10c.ocx was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070005.") If I choose to ignore the error and continue then the rest of the installation completes fine and I can run the program perfectly without any errors.

I need to be able to install and run the application without errors. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

Hey.

That appears to be a permissions and/or WGA type error. Don't know if this helps or not.
