I see, you guys on war against cookies!!
There is a something for you: evercookie - virtually irrevocable persistent cookies
Enjoy.
Enjoy? My first thought was...Yes these posts are a timely reminder that the onus is on each computer user to read, digest, think, be proactive & wary constantly.
Ignorance is no excuse....
As he thought in jest, "Do I dare to click on your link"?
Then I looked at your avatar....Banned
You may have many friends here. But, I Sir do not know you from Adam.
Cookies, everywhere I look.
Some here, some there, some in every nook.
It does not matter what I do
I am besieged by cookies, even by you.
I do not mean to make enemy's here, and I would like to engage in a discussion on the merits or demerits of "cookies", but I would have to get to know you better.
Let me start:
Users that are new to computers, and visiting the web are unaware how cookies can affect their visits.
How they can keep track of a users habits, and the information they can store to facilitate their next visit to a site the user likes to go to.
Some users are perplexed when a site will work okay one time, and then without remembering that they or a new security program they installed made a change to their security settings as to how cookies are handled.
Won't the next time they visit.
How many users know what LSO stands for, BHOs ?
The cookie jar is on your porch.
