I'm still on Vista x64 SP2 and been having problems trying to install Adobe Flash Player 10.1 since Beta 1 came out and Beta 2 is out today now. It Unpacks then it crashes with D51 Adobe Windows error exactly like Beta 1 did, I have installed Beta 1 on my XP system with no issues at all. I even removed Flash from Programs list. What can I do?

Im pretty sure Flash is only compatible with 32 bit. You have to run in compatiblity mode, if using 64 bit. Look into that aspect.

Its a slow day, here is the link. Happy Holidays

Flash only supports 32 bit browsers in Windows and not 64 bit browsers. 32 or 64 bit OS doesn't matter, it has to do with the browser, not the OS. It works on either a 32 bit or 64 bit OS. No need for any compatibility settings.

Perhaps take the advice given here, use the flash unistaller, make sure you have all browsers and any apps that might use flash closed while you uninstall. Reboot, and try and install the 10.1 activex and plugin.

I have had zero problems installing or uninstalling beta 1 or 2 of 10.1.
