Not yet. Adobe says they are working on a 64 bit flash player. For the time being you must use the 32 bit version of IE (included in W7 x64) or another 32 bit browser to view flash.

The 32-bit version of IE is already installed. Try going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\ and running iexplore from there (or try clicking the link that doesn't say 64-bit on the end in your Start Menu).

well, i think i've found the solution. i was able to install ie8 x86, and it installed flash (or had flash already installed). when i got to macromedia, things were moving about as if i had flash. so it does work. thanks to everybody for their input.

I see this tread was dead for a while...
I installed Win 7 RC 64 bit and am using 32 bit IE, however, every time I get to a website that requires Flash Player, I get this annoying "the web site wants to run the following add-on: Adobe Flash Player..." I have installed it several times. Is there a way to do it once and for all?
Thank you

What browser? any addons?

It might help "registering" direct x if you uninstalled then re-installed it Often direct x doesn't completely n-install if you use cpanel to remove. there are specific directx uninstallers for it

IM wondering if its an IE thing or directx thing. You might want to try another browser (firefox?) to see if it happens there. Obviously if it doesnt then you can start looking at IE, if it does then you can confinue thinking its a directx thing.

Have you searched both here and google for direct x problems relating to IE?
