Flickering Screen

I recently installed Windows 7 on my laptop (far beyond the requirements). Before the installation, I was running Windows XP. I am currently attempting to play Warcraft III but the screen flickers every 15 seconds. The game has been reinstalled successfully, including appropriate updates, screen resolution, and refresh rate.

Nothing fixes the flickering and it is a little annoying. Can anyone help me out or suggest some possible solutions?

type in dxdiag and see if any issues popup. If need be update directx to August version. Also, make sure your drivers are up to date.
