I upgraded my pc yesterday and reinstalled Windows 7. Now on the starting Windows screen I have a little underscore blinking in the top left corner of the screen.

Is it something to be worried about? What could it be?

I think that is actually normal.

I've had numerous windows based PCs and every one of them has this just after the BIOS post screen. If it blinks a few times it is nothing to be worried about. My only guess as to the reason is that if you are a technician you can access DOS at that prompt before the PC boots into windows.
