"Fn" key on a 105 key Microsoft 600 keyboard?

Can anyone please explain what is the purpose of the "Fn" key on a US Microsoft 600 - 105 key keyboard? I believe it's also known as the ANSI keyboard. It is the second key to the right of space bar, and is lettered in blue. Also how could I use it in Windows?

If you look closely at the keyboard you will notice some of the keys will have small print of another function if you ptress the FN key you will enable that function once then keyboard will return the normal functions
