Folder is not Accessible

hi
i have windows 7 ultimate 32

i installed some software to movie editing
then i needed some patch for compatibility which i get from internet

i am quiet advanced in using pc and internet
my laptop is hp hdx9095ea

when i wanted to install patches my windows keeps poping messages that the folder is not accessible

i am with administrator right
i did all file sharing settings

i almost done what ever post i fond on net
nothing resolved my problem

i appriciate every little help and advise

i tried to take owner ship
i done every thing step by step

but when i want to change the folder permission it says access denied and can not change the folder permission


any other way ???
