Howdy,
In Folder Options > Advanced Settings there are 2 CheckBox I've got questions about:

1. Always show icons, never thumbnails
2. Display file icon on thumbnails

I need to know the exact behavior of the above 2 options.
I think the 1st one, is for photos for example, it just shows generic JPG icon rather than thumbnail of its photo? Right? And what else?
About 2nd one I have no any idea?
Please advise.

so, you were right about the first one, as for the second one, if you had a picture, you would see it's thumbnail (preview) and the icon for the file type in the corner, according to microsoft, it is for easier access to associated programs.
