folder view confusion

Attached are screenshots of my windows folder on two different systems. I cannot tell why one of them has an infobar at the bottom and the other one does not.

Anyone know how to display/hide the infobar?

In the upper left corner, you will see a drop-down menu Organize. Click on that, expand "Layout" and check/uncheck "Details Pane".
