Folders optimized for music not documents - super annoying

In windows explorer all of my directories are set to 'optimised for documents'. ie. when I look at the contents of a folder the columns are "name, date modified, type, size"

But when I open folders within various applications (ie. open / browse etc) the very same folders are show as 'optimised for music'. ie. when I look at the contents of a folder the columns are "name, date modified, type, size"name, #, title, contributing artist, album".

That is super annoying because none of these files are music files, and the most common thing I want to do is to sort the files by the "last modified" column, which obviously I can't if it's not there.

This occurs in browser based applications and even Excel. Any ideas how I get it to show the folder properly? Just to re-iterate, I can look at exactly the same folder in excel and explorer and they display with different columns.

weird, on my machine, only the 'My Music' folder displays like this. I am wanting this type of display only when I am into the folder level where the actual music files are and not for any levels above.

Try right clicking on Music Library then optimize for General Items.
Then do the same for C:\Users\Username\Music (to include subfolders)
Not really sure how changing the music directory would affect how other folders are viewed from applications...?

Plus you might need to disable Automatic Folder Type Discovery:
But I tried this .BAT file and it appears to have fixed it. Thanks.

I kind of misread your question. Anyway it's all about applying templates to folders and subfolders along with working out which folders are included in libraries. Anyway you fixed it. :)
