Fonts folder icon not correct

I'm going insane, for some reason My "C:\Windows\Fonts" folder doesn't show the font icon like it's supposed to, but there's no way to get the customize tab to show up for system folders. How can I just get it to refresh the icon so it shows up? Here's two screenshots, one after copying the Fonts folder's desktop.ini file into it and refreshing, and how mine looks.
I read about a SHChangeNotify(SHCNE_DELETE,SHCNF_PATH,"C:\Windows\Fonts\desktop.ini",0) API call, and tried doing it with winapiexec, but I couldn't get it to work. Please help, I'm losing my mind trying to figure this out.

I have, that didn't work either. I guess what I'm asking is when you go to the Customize tab, click "Change Icon" and then "Restore Defaults", how do you recreate that action when you don't have the Customize tab available, like with system folders? There must be some command Windows is running, I just need to figure out how to recreate it...

I used Process Monitor and got an idea of some of the API calls it does but I can't tell which one actually refreshes the folder icon, and I'm not a programmer so I don't really know how to use API calls other than using winapiexec, which I barely understand how to use.

The other option is to somehow trick Windows into showing the Customize tab on the Fonts folder. I know it doesn't show it on certain folders "by design" but what exactly does it use to identify which folders it doesn't show it on? Is it just the folder's path, is there a flag it puts on some folder, or is there a list in the registry or somewhere else I could change to make Windows "forget" that it's a system folder so the Customize shows up?

Okay, let me ask this a different way. I read somewhere that the api call SHChangeNotify(SHCNE_DELETE,SHCNF_PATH,"C:\Windows\Fonts\desktop.ini",0) would do what I'm asking about, how can I do that?

Sorry, I cannot for some reason see the images that you've attached to your first post.

But I am going to make a suggestion anyway.

Can you cycle through the Views and select Large Icons. That should refresh the Explorer.

Like I say, I cannot see your original pictures, so I do not know if that addresses the problem or not.

That doesn't work either, thanks though. What I need is to get the folder to read the desktop.ini, but system folders don't have the Customize tab.

Should I make a different thread? I posted this in the comments of a tutorial because I thought it was a related issue. I'm asking specifically, how do you recreate going to the Customize tab, click "Change Icon" and then "Restore Defaults" when you don't have the Customize tab available? What does Windows do so I can recreate that action?

I know, I just wish I could change the thread title to be more clear about what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to recreate an action that Windows usually does through the GUI, not just for the Fonts folder but for any folder that doesn't show the Customize tab.
