Format 3TB External Drive
I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit) with UEFI Bios and I just bought a Seagate 3TB Backup Plus External drive that I plan to use for data only (specifically to backup System Images using Macrium Pro). I don't care about the Dashboard software that comes with it so thought I should probably format the drive as GPT.
I haven't had a lot of experience formatting a drive and never to GPT do I just follow this tutorial?

Ok thanks I thought I had to delete the volume but apparently not so when does it give me the option to convert to GPT?
Should I do a Quick format or Standard/Full?

Not sure what you mean about question #1 a drive has never asked me that question.
You would do a quick format.

That's why I was asking if I should follow the tutorial I posted because it gave you the option of converting the drive from MBR to GPT. I don't have the drive in my hands yet but I guess I assumed it was formatted to MBR and I needed to format it to GPT so I would only have one large partition which is what I want.
