Format a system partition from another OS?

Hi, I have Vista on drive C: and Windows 7 on drive G: (not the perfect set, I know..)
I kept Vista because I wasn't sure if I wanted to move to Windows 7, now I'm ready to remove Vista..

The problem is when I log into Windows 7 and try to format C: (the drive with Vista on it), I get the message:


I had Vista installed before Windows 7 (obviously), and I have deleted the boot options for Vista from the msconfig.msi thingy ...

Please help, I need the space that Vista is occupying...

Well with a third party app like parigon disk suite (which works outside windows) it is easy. Parigon is free to try.

You'll need to recover the System Active boot files from Vista partition into Win7 before deleting it.

The best way for us to advise you the exact steps to do this is to post back a screenshot of your full Disk Mgmt drive map and listings using Snipping Tool in Start Menu.

Let us know if you also want to recover the Vista partition space into Win7 along with the boot-critical files. Using free Partition Wizard CD you can move your Win7 to the front of the HD where it is read faster.
