format option is disabled

Hello forum.

Im almost about to format my c hard drive,but ive noticed its been partitioned,and not only that
but i dont have the option to format it,its like greyed out.so how do i go on about to format it?

You can't format the HDD Windows is installed on while your computer is booted into the OS.

So how do I fix this problem?i want to delete windows 7 and then reinstall it.

If all you want to do is reinstall Windows, the installer will format the drive for you during the installation process.

Are you aware that you must boot the Win7 installation DVD to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 or Clean Install Windows 7?

Delete all partitions using Drive Options as shown in Steps 6-7 of Clean Install Windows 7
