I just installed windows 7 on my computer yesterday and I keep getting these random lag spikes within 2-3 seconds playing online games such as GTA SA Multiplayer (SA:MP) + Crossfire. If you guys know how to solve these solution please help me.

Thank you

welcome to the forum.

Have you tried compatibility mode for GTA? as its probably not a windows 7 compatible game and hence the issue.

While your at it fill out your "my system specs" over on the left under your country of origin flags so we can find out if theres a know issue with it/win 7 and your hardware ect :D

Thanks for the respond.

PC's spec does not matter @ this I mean, I just switched to Windows 7 yesterday I had XP and I didn't had lag at all no lag spikes, but since I switched to Win7 I get Lag Spikes. For ex: I have 32 fps, and in 2 or 3 seconds my fps drops to 22-25 which it's really annoying. I've tried setting my driver settings to "LOW", but still the same problem.

well it does matter if theres a compatibility issue :) like AMD CCC 10.9 caused my pc to blue screen constantly ect.

Also windows 7 is more demanding than xp so could be hogging more resources than before causing the lag ect.

32fps is a little low as it is, so may also point to a struggling system.

32 is not, because I put my frame on and then I do /fpslimit 32.

I'm just low on ram 1gb , but I never had these lag spikes inwindows xp

There's your problem. 1gb ram is to low for windows 7. windows starter yes, home upwards noo.

xp is over 10 years old, 10 years ago 1gb of ram was MASSIVE, now its not. for a gaming on 7 id recommend 4gb ram minimum.

rams so cheap these days, its around £7 per GB! i remember paying over £100 for 256mb :D

Yes, I highly suggest getting more RAM in your PC (but also be mindful of what your motherboard can handle in RAM size.)
