Not ubber massive but you will see the relief it gives your machine once it get's going
i would say over your current build it should kick down at least 25% better performance match with your GPU the graphics on the chip will be useless though unless paired with a AMD card but still will get a banger out of it for sure

With that video card, I'd go with something like an Asus Sabertooth 990fx board and an AMD FX6300, pretty solid combo and you'll get to overclock a fair bit. total comes out to $300 which is somewhere around £180.

We had someone on here with the same set up he traded it in for a i7 3770k lol

You will be fine just upping the chip unless you really want to upgrade like that your choice

well i would look into the combos Amazon has for you i mean i would go with a Sabertooth 990fx and a 8320 that will be a lot better then the 6350

if you plan on keeping AMD i would just do that and invest into some water cooling too stock coolers do terrible with these high grade chips

If you go this route you can save some money by getting a 970 based board instead. Biggest difference between the 970 and 990 based boards is Crossfire/SLI support. If Crossfire isn't a consideration, then go for a decent 970 based board (something like the Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0).

Also please don't consider getting a A8 3870K as from what I can see what you currently have is the same CPU, just with the onboard GPU disabled,

And what cpu would I need to buy to suit my game needs with high fps? Is this an fm2 slot board?


In summary is this going to allow me to get an fm2 cpu and install it and bingo im away?
