Free/open source or inexpensive ghost image to DVD creator

Any one have any good suggestions. I have my PC set up how I want it and it would be nice if needed to just pop in the ghost image and be done with it versus, reinstall and set up all over again.

I am new to the concept so I hope I understand what it can be used for  Please correct me if I am wrong.

Sounds like you want a free utility to image your computer.

Check out Macrium Reflect Free or EaseUS ToDO Backup. I've used them both and both work well. I like EaseUs a bit better because it will do server OS's as well.
