Free Space Changing

It seems like every day recently my leftover free space changes, sometimes it increasing, sometimes decreasing. I havent downloaded many files or deleted many files recently, and it fluxes about half a GB. are there reasons why my comp would do this?

Also, what is happening when all of a sudden an open window I have on my comp goes from clearish to solid light blue up by where the minimize, maximize and close buttons are?

This might be due to the creation of new system restore points and the deletion of very old system restore points.
As for your second problem, can you post a screenshot?

If the change in color were more general, I would say that something that you are running was disabling the Desktop Windows Manager Session Manager, but if it is localized as you described, I'm not sure. Which video driver are you using?

ill work on a screen shot, but i havent noticed a pattern or reason for why it changes.
