Ive heard that there is an offer to upgrade to Windows 7 for free if you buy a new computer from your vendor. :)

does anyone know where to see these (links) and is there any deadline on the upgrade? ;)

Windows: Windows 7 Upgrade Option

There are links there to participating makers.

The dates are 26 June, 2009, through 31 January, 2010, at least in the USA.

I looked at HP, and the dates are the same for the Philippines.

I have read claims that HP has high S&H charges, though, like $30 in the US or 30GBP in the UK.

Windows 7 systems are available now, at least in the US an Europe. Expecting a painless upgrade may lead to disappointment.

I bought a HP computer and applied at the HP website for my Win7 upgrade and it was free. No charge for software or shipping.
