Freeze after startup

I just installed Win7 Ultimate on my laptop and desktop computers today after running the RC build for many months. The laptop is running like a champ but for some reason the desktop freezes shortly after startup with no warning. Might last for 15 minutes or it might lock up after 2. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm working on something or just letting it idle.

I've made no changes to the hardware and did a memory test that showed no issues with the ram. I'm sort of stumped here.

I'm running 64 bit Win 7 Ultimate and I have A-bit Ab9 Pro motherboard with 2x2gb of gskill ram.

Hello boodavia Welcome to SF,

Most of the times the Freezing issue happens when there are some bad or out-dated drivers. Make sure you have all your drivers up-to-date. Make sure not Antivirus / Firewall is not blocking it.
Try to reboot the System in Selective Startup see whether your having the same issue.

Post us the MSINFO32 File

Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

If you're having difficulties with the format, please open an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type "msinfo32 /nfo C:\Users\Public\Desktop\TEST.NFO\" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Then navigate to the C:\Users\Public\Desktop directory to retrieve the TEST.NFO file. If you have difficulties with making this work, please post back. - Info by John
