hi,
i am building a new intel i5 based system.
problem: system will freeze after a couple of minutes

i can "force" the freeze simply by going to the motherboard driver page (of all places) and scroll down a bit... bam

going thru the event manager i get nothing that can help.
the only errors are win7 complaining after the sudden forced reboot....

i run mem86 and hd diagnostics and cpu strees test in dos and found nothing.
what is the best way to attack this problem?

We don't have much to go on. Right off the top of my head, I suggest that you check your graphics card and sound card drivers. You may have to experiment with the drivers to get the right ones.

Please fill out your system information. Go to your User CP at the top of the page, look in the left column and click on Edit system specs. Filling in your specs will help us help you.

You can make this easier by downloading Speccy
.

ok, i rule out the graphic card as it reproducible under two different ones, both running happily on different systems before)

other then the graphic card all is on-board.
