Freezes at welcome/log in screen. Restarts into recover mode.. Then...

Hello !

SO, wonderful PC masterminds , HERE IS MY PROBLEM !

I start my windows 7 , 64 bit Desktop
It loads up super fast (soild state drive)
It freezes on the welcome scree/log in screen. (Can only move the mouse)

A)If: I press the "restart" button on my pc it goes to the recovery mode and can't fix the issue. It then powers down automatically when I click ok. Upon restarting and booting up it works fine.

B) If I hold the power button to turn off the pc and then start the pc again it boots and runs fine !

This has happened about 2 weeks ago where the pc would freeze immediately but only after logging in. It started freezing intermittently but grew to every time it logged in. I eventually went into safe mode and stopped all start up programs besides avast and its been booting / logging in fine with no freezes after that.

HOWEVER, IT JUST STARTED HAPPENING AGAIN TODAY !

I have updated the dm log collector file via .Rar

Any help is appreciated ! Looking forward to it !

Edit: Sorry I didn't read thoroughly. Still check msconfig again to see if something has crawled back in.
Disable non-Microsoft services too, as described in tutorial.

Load defaults in BIOS.

Will do this in the event it ever chooses to freeze again
