I know this question has been asked a few times but I think my problem stems from somewhere else so I'm starting a new thread.
To give SOME background, I purchased this new LG gram(?) computer from Korea without anything installed on it. Not even windows.
I installed a legit windows 7 professional x64 myself. This was my first time... but it seems I installed all the necessary drivers and whatnot. My computer has been working perfectly fine.
And then I wanted to change the background for my log in screen. I believe windows 7 doesn't have that option.
So I tweaked some stuff following these instructions.
How to Set a Custom Logon Screen Background on Windows 7, 8, or 10
That site wasn't the one I saw but the instructions are exactly the same.
And all was good for a few days.
But then, all of a sudden, my computer started freezing whenever my computer goes to sleep and I wake it up. And I immediately thought it's the background so I deleted the folder that I made.
I went back to the website to look at the instructions. There was a warning saying things might get messed up if I change the theme. And that was exactly what I did the day it started freezing.
So I went back, created the folder again, changed all the setting to how it was. And the background was my custom picture.
But it's still freezing....
I haven't touched the windows theme since.
Also, it doesn't seem to freeze all the time. Maybe like 3/5 times it goes to sleep.
It does't seem to matter whether it goes to sleep because I close it or because I haven't used the computer for a long time.
Any suggestions?
