Freezing: Event ID 315, PrintService Error

I think this is the right place for this topic.

My computer, an ASUS G Series G51JX-A1, is freezing at what appears to be random intervals anywhere between 1 hour to 3 hours after boot-up. No BSOD, just a complete lockup, including keyboard and mouse, and if any audio is playing at the moment of the crash, the audio will loop quickly like a scratched CD.

The only thing I have found in common with the Freezes are Error Event 315, PrintService, in the event viewer at the exact time of the computer's freeze.

I have tried two things which seem to have had no effect:
1. Disabled Print Sharing
2. Disabled File Sharing

If anyone could shed some light on what's going wrong here, and how I can fix it, it would be greatly appreciated. More information will be given upon request. Thanks in advance.

Try updating or changing the printer driver. Also copy paste the complete log for this event in your next post.

Downloading driver now. 312MB for one driver? Wow. Also, what part of the Event Viewer should I copy to get the "complete log" you referred to?

Edit: I forgot to mention I had already removed the printer from the 'devices' section.
And I should clarify that having the printer is NOT a concern to me. Knowing this do you still suggest I update the driver?

Double click on the error in the event viewer window. In the popup, click on the Copy button at the lower left hand corner, then paste into notepad and save as a .txt file. Upload the file in your next post.

Hey, just posting to make sure I wasn't forgotten. What should I do now based on the report I uploaded?

Yes, the driver has been updated. No freezing yet, but only time will tell if the issue is actually fixed. If it freezes it will probably be in the middle of something important :p and if that happens I'll know where to go for help. Thank you for your time!

Sure enough, another crash, Event ID 315, printservice error. If anyone has any suggestions for me, I'd really like to hear them, I'm willing to try anything to get this obnoxious freezing issue to go away.

Is there a fix to this problem as we have the same issue recently?

I have the same problem, also on an ASUS notebook, but a Brother printer.

Did anyone manage to solve this?

I have the same problem (PrintService event 315) in combination with a Canon M510 which is not detected, and a DHCP-Client event 1001.
I suffer multiple freezes at random, sometimes a few seconds long, others 1 minute or so.
