Hi
I have been having this problem in games where it runs fine for 2 seconds and freezes for 2 seconds and keeps that doing over and over. I did a completely fresh install of windows and the problem is still there. And there are basicaly no files except for nfsmw 2005 and chrome are the only things i installed. I have all the latest drivers.

Intel core i5 2430m
Intel hd 3000
Toshiba 500gb hdd

Has the laptop been cleaned inside? Was the laptop CPU's thermal paste replaced?

I think it's overheating.

There could be a couple of reasons for this, for example, it could be caused by faulty RAM. Maybe you could try is preventing all programs (via msconfig > startup) from starting up with Windows except the ones you really need. Reboot in Safe Mode (to also exclude drivers) and see if this somehow helps?

It doesn't seems to be a software problem i think. What games are you trying to play and at what settings?

the same problem >trying playing smite and it freezes for 2 sec-CTRL+ALT+DELETE and fixes itself for an undefined time.GPU <65 Celsius. Well I think GPU overheats, but I can be wrong. Also, it says "Display driver stops working... " or something like what. so it might be GPU.
