I am looking for someone to help me resolve my freezing issue. My computer randomly freezes and its happening on a daily basis. I used to think it was due to my lack of ram (I used to have 4 gb) an I recently upgraded to 12 gb. It was fine for 2 weeks when I first upgraded the ram, no freezing or anything. Now its happening again. I have no idea how to diagnose this problem and am willing to pay someone 100$ through PayPal to help me fully fix this problem. Please guide me step by step thanks.

Hello John,

Does the freeze states happen randomly, or there is a pattern you're noticing
when launching certain software perhaps?

When the PC is frozen does it come back?

Can you please upload the MSINFO32 file?

  1. Start> RUN> "MSINFO32" without the quotes then hit [Enter].
  2. In "MSINFO32" go to, File> Save> name it your user-name and upload.
  • Are experiencing this problem all around your system or is it completely unusable?
  • Did you try to scan for malware?

Download | Process Explorer.

Immediately after a Cold Boot launch Process Explorer (if you have a short list,
click "Show Processes From All Users" the right most option in the top bar):

  • Arrange "Working Set" (by clicking on the top of that column) Take a screenshot.
  • Arrange "Private Bytes" (by clicking on the top of that column) Take a screenshot.
  • Arrange "CPU" (by clicking on the top of that column) Take a screenshot.

After 30 minutes (or the maximum amount the system hold its self together):

  • Arrange "Working Set" (by clicking on the top of that column) Take a screenshot.
  • Arrange "Private Bytes" (by clicking on the top of that column) Take a screenshot.
  • Arrange "CPU" (by clicking on the top of that column) Take a screenshot.
Upload the screenshots in a .zip file arranged in folders please.

I guess it happens mostly when I play games. When it's frozen, I am forced to restart the pc by holding down the power button. After doing that it tends to have problems like not loading start up password screen which forces me to repeat the reboot by holding the power button. It's completely frozen when it happens. My computer is completely safe from malware or viruses. I have malwarebytes pro + avg antivirus free edition. I scan my computer nearly everyday.

Looks good some repairs to the file system were successful, I recommend running
SFC command more time, the same way you did the first time, for verification.

Let's eliminate software issues.

  • Boot into Safe-Mode
    • Continue to press F8 at the P.O.S.T screen.
    • When you are presented with the Advanced Boot Options Highlight Safe-Mode (you can logon to Safe-Mode with networking if you're depended on this PC)
  • Use the PC as you normally would.
  • Give it time (the more the better), if it doesn't freeze when you feel it should have already, post back here with your experience.

It shouldn't be a software issue. I had no problems for 2 weeks after adding the 12 gigs of ram. I've always had this problem for many many months. It gets fixed for a few weeks when I reinstall my OS but it comes back sooner or later.
