french keyboard not showing layout nor downloadable

tab caps shift enter backsp is all i see when i try to add the french keyboard looking at its layout
in keyboard and languages
i dont have an install option

ive read somewhere that lip files were needed for the keyboard

i dont know what to download to fix that issue

i tried belgium and the layout is also as limited as the french one

only canadian shows numbers and letters but its not related to the keys i have in my french keyboard

please help

The nunbers line is not showing along with other signs on top but the signs are shown
i believe its the right keyboard

Is yours showing something different? There are no extra langpacks on this system.

the keyboard dlls are in system32 such as KBDFR.DLL

You could try running sfc in case something got damaged.

open admin command prompt and type:

sfc /SCANNOW
