Frequent BSOD Crash

Hey guys,

I posted here once before about this error, and afterwards it went away for a bit, but now it's back. So basically what keeps happening is that I'll be doing something, generally gaming on my computer and the screen will go black. While black the sound skips once, cuts out, skips again, and then my comp restarts. When windows loads up I get a BSOD crash error. Attached is a zip folder containing all of the crash data, including everything from my first post.

I am think I must have a virus or something, because according to the first time I posted, the error is caused by my video card overheating. Although according to GPU-z my card is barely getting about 83C, which is well within it's range.

I have norton 360 v5.0 because I got it free from newegg, but it doesn't pick anything up as being a virus. So maybe it's not, but I don't really see what else could be causing the problem. Maybe a short on my mobo?

Please help. I'd love to fix this without having to re-install windows. Thanks in advance.

Basic Specs:
Window 7 Professional (Full-Retail)
Original OS Install about 3 months ago

Update software\driver for Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility (a known BSOD maker in Win7). Also a part of the Asus PCProbe and AISuite Utilities your software\driver is old from 28-Mar-05 no way to be compatible with windows 7.

Download the most recent software\driver for your [/FONT][FONT=&quot]NVIDIA [/FONT][FONT=&quot]

Uninstall nvidia software\driver,restart in safe mode,run driver sweeper,choose only NVIDIA-Display and clean,restart in normal mode.

Install the new ati software\driver,restart.

Update [/FONT][FONT=&quot]DirectX [/FONT][FONT=&quot]


Run the [/FONT][FONT=&quot]nvidia-video-card-test[/FONT][FONT=&quot]


Finish with these steps and post back here the results.[/FONT]

I did everything you said. It didn't help much. I'm still getting the same error. I tried running the GPU test you gave me and I get the same crash after a few minutes in. Is there any possible other reason that could be causing this issue?

This looks like a gpu problem.


Though is better to check all the hardware's first.
