Frequent BSOD General Web Browsing

Hi,
Getting close to throwing the laptop out of the window and I came across this forum.
Hope you can help.

Keep getting the BSOD with STOP 0x00000100
Sometimes I get a display driver stopped working but then recovered error and all goes well.
Sometimes I am just reading a page and the touchpad becomes unresponsive and I have to do a hard reboot.
Sometimes it goes straight to the BSOD.

Anything you geniuses can come up with would be appreciated.

The dumps aren't really useful

Probably caused by : Unknown_Image ( ANALYSIS_INCONCLUSIVE )

Also, every other file then dumps are missing.
Please run the dm log collector again and upload a new zip.
Please check your manufacturer for BIOS updates.
Please make sure you have all the updates installed, exception for Windows 10 if you don't want it.

Don't know why the dump didn't work.
I updated the BIOS and have also installed a few minor windows updates that had been pending.
Results of scan attached.

Diagnostics Test

 System File Check

Please try following:

• Open an admin command prompt
• Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
• When it finished reboot your system
• Open again an admin command prompt
• Enter sfc/scannow again

If sfc/scannow does NOT say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation", please upload the cbs.log file located at {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

I was passing by and looked at the latest .dmp file - hope you don't mind Axe.

The Synaptic touchpad driver is flagged and seems outdated. See if you can update it:

Hi Axe,
I've run the scannow twice - both with no errors (copy of screen shots attached).
Any other ideas?

I've been into Device Manager and Driver is now current.
Still getting the errors.

The last .dmp was from 16/11/2015 - nothing more recent. Try this:

Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Driver Verifier will cause your computer to run very sluggishly - this is normal. What it is trying to do is force your system to BSOD and isolate the offending driver/s. When it does, reboot, disable driver verifier, reboot as normal and upload the new dmp file/s here.

I recommend creating a system restore point before turning on driver verifier:

If your system fails to boot to desktop once driver verifier is enabled, turn it off by booting into Safe Mode:

That's really weird - as while the data collection was happening, I was looking at the dates on the dump files, and there were definitely some newer ones there.

Not sure if this makes a difference but in the System Properties the 'Kernel Memory Dump' was selected. I've changed to 'Small Memory Dump' Let me know if this was the correct thing to do or if it needs to be changed back.

I've run the DM log again and there are files from today and yesterday.
If this is still no good then I can run the Driver Verifier you mentioned above.
