This could be a separate issue altogether but I have been unable to install the majority of windows updates (120 updates mainly consisting of windows 7 updates, security updates and .net framework updates.)

This build ran brilliant to start, until about 6 months ago I began getting frequent blue screens. I exhausted everything I knew to do(updated my chipset drivers, VGA driver, network card driver, updated my bios, dusted this thing out 100%, replaced power supply from 500watt to 750 watt)I've been monitoring fan speeds, and cpu temp (about 40 celcius at idle peaks at about 60 when stressed)

ive reformatted fresh today reinstalled the above drivers and still have the same issue

I could use a new set of eyes for sure
ran sf_diagnostic, the file is attatched

Welcome to the Forum.

If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\ASUS\AI Suite	Public:Start Menu\Programs\ASUS\AI Suite	Public
This is overclocking software and can cause instability. Please remove the software with Revo Free.
   Note
Download and install Revo Uninstaller free from here:
Opt for "Advanced Mode" and uninstall the software (also delete the leftover registry entries).

Update or Remove the software listed below as well:

Reduce items at start up:
Your Antivirus software is basically whats just needed there.

Monitor hardware temperature with system monitoring software like Speccy or HWMonitor:

Upload a screenshot using:
:tip: For how to upload a screenshot or file, read here

Test your Hard Drive by running:

Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+:
:info: Pay close attention to part 3 of the tutorial "If you have errors"
   Tip
  • :tip: Test the RAM with Memtest86+ for at least 7-10 passes. It may take up to 22 passes to find problems. Make sure to run it once after the system has been on for a few hours and is warm, and then also run it again when the system has been off for a few hours and is cold.

Let us know the results.

never been a fan of overclocking never clocked anything on any of my machines, removed ai suite and all the asus tools for that matter, booted with selective startup, provided screenshot in crystal disk

PCASp50a64.sys
jswpslwfx.sys

not sure how to tackle those two, plan on running hard drive diagnostic now , and memory test overnight so far no bsod's

Have been running memory diagnostic for last 24hours. so far no bsod during that. Im on pass 5 with stick 2 in slot b, no errors so far. To recap got errors with both sticks, no errors with stick 2 slot a. stick 2 slot b in progress. If this ends with no errors I will stress test with the known good stick (stick 2)

No errors after 14 passes, looks like I had a bad stick. I'll be stress testing when I get home later with only 1 4gb stick (stick 2)

so far so good with testing no bsod's, after an hour running mech warrior online+ Pandora figured would be a decent test, uploaded speccy SS. Couple concerns A: my ram is running at 669mhz(1600mhz ram not clocked so should be at 1333mhz?) B: vga temp is a bit high

my issue is very much improved so far I believe the asus drivers related to the hardware monitoring software were my biggest issue, that and the stick of ram that tested with errors. So far so good, if this keeps up with no bsod's (knock on wood :) ) ill mark it solved

thanks for all the help

Rhin0, welcome to seven Forums. Your ram appears to be running at 1333, if you have it in dual chanel. (dual chanel means 669 X 2 = 1338) If you don't already have it, please download CPUz and install it. Please post screenshots ( http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html) of the CPU, mainboard, memory and SPD tabs. On the SPD tab, you will see in the top left corner slot #, Those are dimm slots, if there is no ram in that slot, it will be blank. click it and select the next slot. If you have not been working it hard, the GPU temp is pretty high. It should not get that high. Keepler throttles at 70. Go to EVGA's web site and log in and download Precision X. It is really an overclocking tool, but I use it to set a custom fan profile and it will also do some on screen displays of the values you want to see. Even if you don't overclock, it can be a very useful tool.

What case do you have and how is the ventilation? How much air flow do you have? What CPU cooler are you using?

downloading cpuz now. ill look into precision x for sure that will be usefull screenshots incoming shortly
im using stock cpu heat sink 1 128mm case fan air flow is great id say all the wires tucked in nicely and its a big case with micro atx board, as far as the case its a generic brand I cant find receipt don't remember the name its a basic case have 4 extra spots to install case fans which I should be taking advantage of I plan to in the near future

Those temps are much better. I have 3 200mm fans and a 140mm in my case. No cooling will work unless you get cool air in and hot air out. You graphics card as well as your CPU cooler, use the air inside the case to cool. If it is hot air, they can't cool. Add some intake fans to the case and I think you will see a big difference. I'm curious to see the timings on your ram. It is rare to see timings like you are showing above.

EDIT: Try to never let your GPU get that hot. The Keepler GPU's begin to throttle at 70. During gaming I never get over 55 and during stress testing the highest I have seen is 61. That is what you want to aim for.

I'm an Intel guy and am not sure how AMD does it, but your timings are way off. Set your 1st 4 timings as 9-9-9-24 2T, set the dram voltage at 1.5V and your frequency at either 1333 or 1600 ( or 667 or 800 if it is listed that way). Some boards will do it automatically for you, but I prefer doing it manually.

Before changing anything, go into bios and set optimized defaults. Then set your Ram, Sata configuration and boot order. Your CPU Voltage is pretty high too. You're showing 1.416 and I believe stock should be somewhere around 1.272.

running precision x on startup now im gonna leave it at default. core voltage stays around 1.080 seems when installing windows updates it gets up to 1.428 ill keep an eye on it. Going to wait for all my updates to complete before entering bios, just installed 75updates with all successful except 2 security updates error ffffffe ... not worried about it lol doing 40 optional updates then ill be up to date which is a first xD.

Good job. Your core voltage should go up with demand on the CPU. You can look up the info, but I believe the max core voltage on yours is around 1.5V and shouldn't get anywhere close to that at stock.
