Hello!
I started getting BSOD in February of this year. It was very intermittent (maybe once a week with daily use). It has gradually become more frequent and recently it happens just about every time the laptop is used.

Here is my info:
x64
it is an OEM version (came loaded on laptop)

HP dv4 laptop purchased new in February 2010
-have not re-installed OS (no disc provided)
-have reloaded/updated drivers

ZIP file with requested files attached

Please let me know if any other information is needed. Thank you for any help!

A lot of your crashes were file system related. Post a screenshot of your Device Manager with IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers expanded. Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Device Manager.

Looks like not all the devices are listed there. I see loaded modules for more than just the standard controllers. Post a screenshot with hidden devices shown: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/77614-device-manager-hidden-devices.html

It may be easier to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164, but it is up to you. It also depends on whether you can still read the license key on the sticker for your notebook computer. That link includes information on obtaining the installation media and the license key.

Thanks again for your help. I don't see any hidden devices for controllers (see screen shot). I will look into doing a re-install - thanks for that link!

OK, I did a clean re-install of Win7. I have not re-installed all of the stuff that came with the laptop. I have only re-installed Office 2007. Have not changed any defaults. Was going along pretty smoothly until recently. Had a BSOD while Windows was attempting to do an update during shutdown.

Attaching a new zip file for examination. Should I do a recovery from the dvds I made with HPs Recovery tool? I was seeing if I could get by w/o it.

Appreciate the continued help!

You need to install your ENE CIR driver from HP Support & Drivers | United States (if you need help, please provide us with your full HP model number; there are A LOT of dv4s:
HP said:
More than 300 products contain the term "dv4"
).

Your .dmp was corrupted, so not of much use. It pointed to a network related problem, so probably some driver. Try to update all network related drivers through your HP support site for your HP model.
