I am getting bsods every time I open a word document, or a file with VLC media player or use Chrome for any length of time. Originally I couldn't even login it would just show a black screen where the login page should be. I used startup repair to fix this. I then logged in and there was no text anywhere. My icons were still there but there was no text. I then booted into safe mode with command prompt and ran sfc/scannow. This fized the problem with the missing text. I was then able to login normally and I later ran check disk. About one in five time I still have to run startup repair to log on. My computer is still running quite slowly. I am on holiday so at the moment I don't have access to my windows boot dvds. Any ideas?
